PROGRAM

From Riff to Record: Building a Song with Pro Tools

Saturday 11:45am | Sunday 11:35am

From Riff to Record is a practical presentation for guitarists on how to write and build a complete song inside Pro Tools. Starting with a simple guitar riff, see how the process shapes it into a structured, fully produced track, from initial recording through to a complete arrangement.

Explore how to record guitars with low latency for a natural playing experience, develop the arrangement, and expand the idea beyond the initial part. See how Splice can be used to source and integrate drum loops, percussion, and textures, and how bass, keys, and other instruments can be added using MIDI and virtual instruments within Pro Tools.

Learn how a single riff can evolve into a finished recording within one session, using the same tools and production environment found in professional studios worldwide.

Presented by Drew Parsons

Recording, Jamming, and Capturing Creativity with Fender Studio

Saturday 1:15pm | Sunday 1:35pm

An overview of how this all-new app helps capture ideas quickly using Fender’s renowned amps and effects models, combined with a powerful multitrack recording environment designed specifically for musicians.

Starting from laying down tracks on an iPad, see how ideas can be developed and expanded, then continued seamlessly in a studio environment. Explore how Fender Studio supports fast, intuitive recording, allowing guitarists to move easily from spontaneous inspiration to a complete arrangement.

See how the Fender Studio environment can become part of an everyday creative process, from capturing initial ideas through to building finished recordings.
